DJI Matrice 400 (C6) Worry-Free Plus Combo

This package is for those who need more than just flights within visual line of sight. The DJI Matrice 400 (C6) Worry-Free Plus Combo is the path to C6 certification for the Matrice 400—and thus to flights beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) in accordance with STS-02.

What the package unlocks

A certified drone unlocks different missions depending on its classification. This package gives you all the standard scenarios for that specific category in one go:

• C6 → STS-02: Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) flight with airspace observers over a controlled ground area. This unlocks missions that simply aren’t possible within visual line of sight—long-line inspections, large-scale mapping, and emergency response flights over vast areas.
• C5 → STS-01: flights within visual line of sight in densely built-up areas are also included. This means you can cover both standard scenarios with the same drone.
• Basis for PDRA and SORA: The system is certified in accordance with MoC 2511 (flight termination) and MoC 2512 (M2 mitigation), which provides you with the documentation required even for more complex operations outside the standard scenarios.

That’s why it’s a factory-certified package

The C6 classification for the Matrice 400 cannot be achieved by retrofitting a parachute onto a drone you already own. DJI offers C6 only as a factory-certified package, where the drone and parachute are verified together from the ground up. That’s exactly what you get here: a Matrice 400 that’s C6-certified right out of the box, with no need to send it in, upgrade it, or worry about compliance. The certification is valid from day one.

Included Parachute: DJI AP100

The package includes the DJI AP100—DJI Enterprise’s parachute system with an integrated Flight Termination System (FTS). It slows the drone in the event of a crash and can terminate the flight in a controlled manner if control is lost. The AP100 is designed to stay out of the way: it mounts on the rear of the drone and can remain attached when the Matrice 400 is packed into its case; it activates directly in DJI Pilot 2 without a separate remote control; and it requires no external cables. With support for multiple payloads simultaneously, DJI’s proven transmission system, and the entire Zenmuse ecosystem of cameras and LiDAR sensors, it’s equally at home in large-scale mapping as it is in inspection, surveillance, and emergency response. Its rugged construction and IP rating ensure it operates where missions actually take place—not just in a lab environment.

Where the package is most useful

The ability to fly BVLOS changes what you can take on:

• Line inspection: power lines, railways, and pipelines over long distances, without having to move the pilot step by step.
• Large-scale mapping: Cover larger areas per mission using LiDAR or photogrammetry.
• Emergency response and rescue: Get a quick overview of large areas during operations.
• Inspection in densely populated areas: C5 coverage also allows you to work within sight of people.

Do you already have a Matrice 400?

If the C5 is sufficient for your missions—flying within visual line of sight according to STS-01—you don’t need the entire package. In that case, you can purchase the parachute separately and mount it on your existing drone. See the DJI AP100 as a standalone product.
