Description of DJI Mavic 3TA (EU) C1
The DJI Mavic 3T Advanced (EU) C1 has the same capabilities as the standard Mavic 3T, except that it has a lighter battery with slightly less flight time. However, it has the major advantage that you can now fly in open category A1 instead of A2.
What does C1 classification mean?
It means that you can fly in open category A1, unlike A2, which you must do with the standard Mavic 3T and Matrice 4T.
As a pilot, this means that you only need to obtain an A1/A3 certificate to qualify. This means you do not need to take the A2 exam.
In practice, you can now fly over uninvolved individuals (but not crowds). You should always try to avoid flying over people, but it is not strictly prohibited. In A2, you must maintain a safety distance of 30 m (or 5 m in low-speed mode).
