Description of Hexadrone Tundra 2.1 Endurance
Hexadrone Tundra 2.1 Endurance is designed to provide a balance between lift capacity and flight time. It has also been developed to be incredibly flexible thanks to its various TR interfaces.
A multipurpose platform
Tundra 2 is designed to be adaptable to many different types of missions, including inspection, mapping, security, and much more. With this in mind, it is very attractive as you can configure it for different jobs on a day-to-day basis. Let us explain the different TR interfaces.
TR-LOCK
TR-LOCK is the main interface for payloads and is located under the drone. This allows you to switch between interfaces that communicate with different types of sensors, cameras, etc. The most common is the Gremsy version, which allows you to mount various Gremsy gimbals or payloads that use Gremsy's Hyper Quick Release (HQR). There is also TR-LOCK for Viewpro, a dropping mechanism, and much more.
You can also develop your own with an open TR-LOCK.
TR-COMM
TR-COMM is the communication interface that allows you to select and also replace the communication module with just four screws.
TR-MODULE
The drone has several TR-MODULES, which allow you to install various types of sensors and payloads. Among other things, LiDAR or RADAR modules can be installed to provide extended obstacle avoidance or terrain following functionality. Dropping mechanisms and much more can also be installed.
Parachute and Flight Termination System (PRS / FTS)
Hexadrone, together with Drone Rescue Systems, has developed a parachute and flight termination system that is fully approved according to EASA MoC 2511 - Enhanced Containment and MoC 2512 - M2 mitigation. This allows you to reduce the final risk level and SAIL value of operations.
They are also in the final stages of getting the entire C5 and C6 drones classified using these safety systems. This will allow you to fly in Standard Scenario STS-01 and STS-02.
