Description of DJI D-RTK 3 Relay Fixed Deployment Version
The DJI D-RTK 3 Relay Fixed Deployment Version is a version of the D-RTK 3 built for permanent outdoor installation together with the DJI Dock 3. It is mounted high up, for example on a mast, a roof or a pole, and acts as a relay station between the dock and the drone when terrain, buildings or vegetation block the direct radio signal.
The station connects to the third port of the Dock 3 and is powered by PoE, so no separate power supply is needed at the mounting location. It can also be powered by another PoE source.
WHY A FIXED RELAY STATION?
A docked drone often flies far from the dock and at low altitude, where the signal is easily interrupted by obstacles. With the relay placed at a high point, the drone has a clear line of sight to the station, which in turn forwards the signal to the dock. In heavily obstructed conditions, the range can be extended 3 to 5 times.
RELAY MODE ONLY
Unlike the D-RTK 3 Multifunctional Station, this version works solely as a relay station. It cannot be used as an RTK base station or rover. If you also need RTK corrections or ground control point surveying, the D-RTK 3 Multifunctional Station is the right choice.
